I can't say enough wonderful things about this couple. They are amazing and they simply adore each other. I couldn't ask for a better couple to photograph! I had a fun evening with them last week. Karis wanted this shoot to represent them as a couple. We started at Rock Bridge State Park
in Columbia for an outdoors adventure. We happen to be at the right place at the right time as there was an amazing amount of fog over the creek due to the cold temps from the cave. Its was awesome for pictures! We also found a field to get the last bit of golden light for the day.
Our last stop was Karis's home. I love that she incorpated her childhood home, memories, and family into their shoot. She wore an amazing dress from BHLDN.
I'm smitten with that little number. Karis also baked cute heart cakes for them to enjoy on the porch at dusk with the twinkle lights. Special thanks to Karis's mom for helping decorate the porch and helping with the shoot! Its was very cute and romantic :) Thanks for a fun evening! Looking forward to September!
I totally adore these two, they are just smitten with one another :) Their happiness is contagious. When I first met Katelin, I loved her bubbly kind spirit. She has found the perfect match to compliment her. I loved our time together and getting to know more about them.
The two met while working at a restaurant. Asa pointed out that Katelin was his boss. Once they started dating they were inseparable. We met at HaHa Tonka State Park
for their engagement as they were in the state for a family vacation. The locations we shot at were just beautiful! I love this time of the year and all the wildflowers that cover the hillsides and fields.
We decided to check out the spring at the park and they were both up to test the waters. Let me just say that I dipped my toes in and it was ice cold! These two are tough! They are also both professional athletes. I have been looking for a couple to do the "Dirty Dancing" lift for years. These two nailed it while standing barefoot on rocks in freezing water. Congrats on your engagement, can't wait for your wedding in August!
Congrats to Brad and Rachel on their recent engagement! They are getting married in the spring of 2014. They met while they were in high school and have been sweethearts ever since. I am kinda fond of high school sweethearts ;) They are an adorable couple and I can't wait to photograph their wedding!
We started our shoot in downtown Jeff City. After a few locations, Rachel and Brad decided to take a little frozen yogurt break at YoYums! They did an excellent job styling their yogurt with sprinkles! We also headed out to Rachel's family farm to use her great great grandparents home for some pictures.
I was pretty excited about this old home when Rachel was describing it to me. I am a sucker for old houses, but one that is full of family history...Swoon. This old house was incredible! Rachel told me that she has found old love letters to her great great grandmother from her great great grandfather in the house. We shoot in the loft area which used to be their bedroom. They also frolicked in the yard (maybe like her grandparents did as a young couple). I can just imagine what it looked like years ago before the wallpaper started striping off and the vines wrapped around the exterior. Thanks for a great evening you two!
