Congrats to Brad and Rachel on their recent engagement! They are getting married in the spring of 2014. They met while they were in high school and have been sweethearts ever since. I am kinda fond of high school sweethearts ;) They are an adorable couple and I can't wait to photograph their wedding!

We started our shoot in downtown Jeff City. After a few locations, Rachel and Brad decided to take a little frozen yogurt break at YoYums! They did an excellent job styling their yogurt with sprinkles! We also headed out to Rachel's family farm to use her great great grandparents home for some pictures.

I was pretty excited about this old home when Rachel was describing it to me. I am a sucker for old houses, but one that is full of family history...Swoon. This old house was incredible! Rachel told me that she has found old love letters to her great great grandmother from her great great grandfather in the house. We shoot in the loft area which used to be their bedroom. They also frolicked in the yard (maybe like her grandparents did as a young couple). I can just imagine what it looked like years ago before the wallpaper started striping off and the vines wrapped around the exterior. Thanks for a great evening you two!

Austin is a 2013 senior from JC High School. His photo-shoot was a lot of fun and allowed me to get out of my element. I learned about rugby (I had no idea how to even throw a rugby ball), bow hunting, and other manly stuff! Austin is quite the outdoors men and enjoys just about everything that has to do with the outdoors. We choose to photograph his session at Binder State Park in Jefferson City. The park has a lot of great recreational areas, a beautiful lake, and ball fields.

After high school, Austin plans on attending my old stomping grounds Missouri Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo. I made sure to fill him in on the best pizza in town and the craziness of St. Pat's weekend! Congrats on your graduation, Austin, and best wishes in college!

Mother's Day is this weekend! I thought posting a Glamour session to honor all our mothers would be appropriate this for this week. Katie is the mother to an adorable little girl, Ivy. She is also the winner of our Glamour contest we held on Facebook earlier this year. Her day started at Catherine Crum the Salon for cut, color, style, and make-up! Catherine Crum was the stylist for our shoot. She does an amazing job!

After the her make-over and star treatment, we headed back to the studio for some indoor shots. Across from the studio we found some amazing spring blooms and we added in some outdoor pictures to this session. Katie is one of my favorite people is photograph. She is a riot and can really work a camera. My favorite is her giggly expression. She has one of the best laughs!

Happy Mother's Day!
